MLPD works locally, provincially and nationally by contributing to other community initiatives and organizations like the Council for Canadians with Disabilities (CCD).

MLPD is dedicated to making Manitoba a fully accessible province where all people, no matter their ability, are provided the same rights and freedoms.

Due to mandatory, end-of term retirements MLPD is currently seeking Provincial Council (Board of Directors) members from across the province who will support our mission, and to assist us in achieving our goals.
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about our goals, with knowledge and/or skills in one or more areas of board governance, business related skills such as accounting, public relations, legal skills, fundraising skills and/or accessibility knowledge and the ability to work within the community to build partnerships.

Elections will occur by mail over the summer months with the new Council being ratified at the AGM that has been postponed until September 30, 2020. Elected terms are for 3 years.
