All-Candidates Town Hall, moderated by Marcy Markusa, watch the recording on YouTube

The Accessibility and Inclusion Ministry Team of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg hosted an All-Candidates Debate on Accessibility in Canada, organized by the Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities (MLPD).

All parties were invited to a non-partisan discussion, moderated by Marcy Markusa from the CBC. The candidates discussed their positions on issues such as housing, the Canada Disability Benefit, protections for healthcare, and other concerns impacting Canadians with accessibility barriers or disabilities.

This event was held on Tuesday, April 8th from 6:30 to 8:00PM at the Unitarian Church on 603 Wellington Crescent in Winnipeg, and virtually via Zoom.

Even in challenging times, we can evaluate the strength of a country and its leaders by how it treats its people.
